October is both Poe and Halloween month. Question: what do these two share? Answer: horror and death.
We are asking anyone with a camera to send in their digital photo or photo’s of Edgar Allan Poe related graves. This can be any kind of grave you find at a graveyard: a Nevermore tombstone, a grave with a Poe poem, a House of Usher Tombstone, a grave with Poe’s portret, etc, as long as it is a REAL grave and not some kind of Halloween creation. Also, don’t send us grave photo’s of Poe’s own grave(monument), his relatives, friends, women he loved, or those he closely worked with in whatever way.
Please include your name (which will be placed under the photo), where you live and brief details about the photo(’s) you are sending (name and location of the cemetery) and mail them here. Please ensure they are in colour and have a file size of at least 1MB. Despite the handy feature available on some cameras, it is best that photographs do not each have the date printed over the image. And please, don’t take photo’s from the internet! By the way, it is very well possible we receive photo’s of the same grave. If that’s the case, we can’t publish them all. Selected photo’s are published in october and november (at YouTube, Twitter, EdgarAllanPoe.nl, etc.).
In contributing to EdgarAllanPoe.nl you agree to grant us a non-exclusive licence to publish and otherwise use the material in any way that we want, and in any media. It’s important to note, however, that you still own the copyright to everything you contribute to EdgarAllanPoe.nl. This means you are perfectly free to take what you have produced and re-publish it somewhere else.
